Over the period of January-June 2017, 38,3 mln bottles (0,75 l) of Georgian wine was exported to 44 countries of the world, which is 60% more than the similar figure of last year. Wine worth of 84,3 mln US dollars was exported within the accounting period, which by 52% exceeds the value of the same period, last year.

Increased export is notable in following countries: China – 80% (4 462 631), Russia – 86% (23 740 750), Ukraine – 41%(3 653 334), Poland – 20% (1 427 458), Latvia – 27% (830 852), Belarus – 42% (814 022), USA – 89% (236 012), Germany – 34% (234 000), Israel – 202% (127 334), France – 450% (95 530), Azerbaijan – 170% (102 342), etc.

The top five exporting countries are:

Russia

China

Ukraine

Poland

Kazakhstan

According to the data provided by the National Wine Agency, the leader among the wines with the name of origin is Kindzmarauli – 6 593 437 bottles, next are: Mukuzani – 2 028 493, Tsinandali – 1 468 126, Akhasheni – 751 261, Khvanchkara – 389 360, Tvishi – 157 064, Napareuli – 111 612, etc.

In addition, 8 212 243 bottles (0,5 l) of brandy were exported to 17 countries of the world, which is 91% more than the figure of the same period of 2016. In total, brandy worth of 18,7 mln US dollars has been exported – the increase compared to the same period of last year reaches 89%.

102 402 bottles (0,5 l) of chacha was exported to 17 countries of the world, the export increase made 106%. The incomes generated through chacha export made 283 thousand USD, the increase, compared to the same period of last year, reached 49%.

In total, the incomes generated through the export of wine, brandy, chacha, wine material and brandy spirit within the accounting period made 143,15 mln US dollars – compared to the similar period of 2016, the increase reached 55%.
