Georgia moves to 6th place in the “Doing Business” ratings

According to the World Bank’s ratings, the country received a score of 83.28. Compared to last year’s 82.4, Georgia’s score improved.

Georgia improved its position in the “Doing Business” ranking and moved up to the 6th place compared to last year’s 9th place. Before that, Georgia was in 16th place. 

According to the World Bank’s ratings, the country received a score of 83.28. Compared to last year’s 82.4, Georgia’s score improved. In addition, Georgia’s rating is higher than the region’s average rating of 72.3.

The rating encompasses various criteria. the best results for Georgia were in the criterion of protecting minority investors and is in 2nd place in the world, similar to last year. Under the category of starting a business, Georgia is in 4th place in the World and in 4th place for registering property criterion.  

The worst score for Georgia was under the “trade without borders” category, holding the 62nd place on the list.

The biggest improvement was made under the category of tax payments,  where the growth amounted to 1.89 points.

In total, 190 countries were assessed by the World Bank ratings. Georgia’s position has not worsened in any of the categories.
