Tegeta Holding and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have launched a landmark initiative aimed at transforming the automotive industry in Georgia and the wider region. This strategic collaboration will expand a regional hub for automotive services, enhance vocational education, and strengthen corporate governance within Tegeta Holding.
EBRD will be lending a €25 million senior loan for the project, while Tegeta invests €7 million. The funds will be allocated to the expansion of the CCZ Service Center (GEZI Branch), located on the Tbilisi bypass road, one of the country’s key transit hubs. In addition to loan financing, EBRD will provide technical cooperation services focused on developing specialized training programs aligned with international standards and implementing corporate governance practices within the Tegeta Academy framework.
The agreement was signed at the Tegeta Multifunctional Service Center, which offers services for trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles. The signing ceremony was attended by the EBRD Regional Director for the Caucasus and other invited guests.

Ekaterine Kavtaradze, Chief Executive Office of Tegeta Holding: “We are delighted to launch this large-scale project in collaboration with the EBRD. Through Tegeta’s expertise and the support of our partner, we aim to further promote access to vocational education. This step will significantly elevate the standards of training for personnel in the automotive sector, while creating additional employment opportunities and fostering professional growth.
The truck service center, which is located at a strategically important intersection, has already established itself as a regional hub and has been recognized by the global MAN brand as a Category A center. The further development of the branch is expected to significantly increase the volume of services provided and reinforce the position of both Tegeta and Georgia as a key transit country in the region.
30 years of experience in the automotive industry, a consistent strategy for sustainable development, and transparency in business processes are criteria that ensure our full compliance with the requirements of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This guarantees our credibility and support, allowing us to successfully achieve our goals within the framework of a seven-year project.
This is an innovative facility that offers a comprehensive range of services for trucks, commercial vehicles, and buses under one roof. Through our joint efforts, we aim to create a space that provides thousands of local and transiting vehicles with top-quality maintenance and the utmost comfort for drivers.”

Another major component of the project is supporting Tegeta Academy, which will introduce new modules tailored for individuals interested in trucks and commercial vehicles. At least 200 participants will benefit from training programs combining theoretical instruction at Tegeta Academy and practical sessions at the CCZ Service Center, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilitated by professional trainers. EBRD and Tegeta will hire a team of experts who will collaborate on this effort, ensuring international best practices are applied.
The partnership also focuses on strengthening corporate governance and transparency. Tegeta, the only automotive company in Georgia to voluntarily publish a comprehensive annual report, will implement additional governance measures under EBRD guidance to align with international standards.
Through the seven-year project with the EBRD, Tegeta Holding begins a new phase of international cooperation, reinforcing its commitment to alignment with European standards and firmly strengthening its position in domestic and regional automotive markets.
