The Tan Media Cup amateur alpine skiing tournament, which has been held in Kazakhstan for five consecutive years, is entering a new stage of development in 2026. On February 28, the project will host its first-ever international individual stage in Gudauri, Georgia, featuring a delegation of Kazakh entrepreneurs.
Among the participants will be businessman, journalist, and publisher of Forbes Kazakhstan and Forbes Georgia, Armanzhan Baitassov, underscoring the event’s role as a platform that brings together the business community, media, and industry leaders.
The Gudauri stage will be the project’s first international stand-alone competition, with results recorded separately.
Tan Media Cup is more than a sporting event, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and opinion leaders in an informal mountain setting. The international stage in Gudauri marks an important step in developing a partner mountain ecosystem connecting the Shymbulak and Gudauri resorts, as well as other international ski destinations, strengthening cooperation in tourism, sports, and investment.
The tournament’s general partner is Petra Group, a development company implementing the Swissôtel Gudauri project in partnership with the international hotel group Accor. The project is located directly on the ski slope and reflects a new level of infrastructure development in the region.
The Gudauri stage will also feature a cultural and presentation program aimed at promoting Kazakhstan and fostering international dialogue.
