Georgian and Japanese Organizations Unite Forces After Davos26, to Empower Women in AI Worldwide

Business and Technology University (BTU) has established a strategic partnership with the leading Japanese nonprofit Waffle to promote international training and reskilling programs for women in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology fields.

The collaboration combines Georgian and Japanese expertise to promote gender equality and boost the participation of women and girls in Artificial Intelligence and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Through this partnership, BTU and Waffle aim to create academic and innovation-focused programs that broaden global access to digital skills, promote inclusive technological growth, and close the gender gap in emerging technologies.

The collaboration includes:

  • Joint educational programs, workshops, bootcamps, and mentoring initiatives for women and girls in IT and STEM
  • Exchange of trainers, mentors, and international experts
  • Joint participation in international projects and research, especially in gender equality and digital skills development
  • Organizing hackathons, seminars, and awareness campaigns
  • Sharing knowledge and spreading best practices in gender-inclusive education and digital transformation.

The strategic partnership between Business and Technology University and Waffle was initiated in Davos during the 2026 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. The agreement is signed by BTU Rector Nino Enukidze and Waffle Founder Sayaka Tanaka. Notably, both leaders are recognized as members of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders, an honor bestowed on individuals who are making a positive impact worldwide.
