Alicia Cantinieri has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. This honor recognizes individuals who demonstrate notable achievement and leadership. Ms. Cantinieri focuses on clinical reimbursements for nursing homes, with emphasis on Medicare Parts A and B, Medicaid and compliance standards.
As managing director of clinical reimbursement and regulatory compliance at Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC, Ms. Cantinieri leads a clinical team focused on auditing, consulting and quality improvement. Her professional background spans nearly three decades in health care, beginning in direct patient care before advancing into leadership and consulting roles.
Leadership in Clinical Reimbursement and Regulatory Compliance
Ms. Cantinieri’s career began as a registered nurse in 1996. She specialized in long-term care in Ohio before relocating to New York. She joined Zimmet Healthcare Services Group LLC in 2010 and progressed through several roles, including senior clinical consultant, vice president of clinical services, vice president of MDS policy and education and senior vice president of clinical policy and education.
Ms. Cantinieri’s educational achievements include a Master of Business Administration in data analytics from Louisiana State University Shreveport and a Bachelor of Science in nursing, cum laude, from Wright State University. She holds multiple certifications, such as a medical documentation professional, a director of nursing services, in health care compliance and as a QAPI professional.
Professional Engagement and Sharing Insights
Ms. Cantinieri is active in professional organizations, including the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing, where she serves on the awards committee, and the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration of Long-Term Care. She is a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the Health Care Compliance Association.
Reflecting on her career, Ms. Cantinieri shares, “When I graduated from nursing school, I went to work in a nursing home where I did my clinicals and have essentially stayed in long-term care ever since. I enjoyed working with the residents of the nursing home.”
“They all have such good stories,” Ms. Cantinieri says. “When you work in a nursing home, you take care of the same residents and get to know them really well while hearing their stories. In some cases, you end up being like their family.”
Ms. Cantinieri is scheduled to speak at the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in June, where she will discuss current challenges and opportunities in long-term care.
