Mr. Fragomen’s distinguished career began in 1968 when he served as assistant counsel for the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary. In 1970, he joined the practice of Elmer Fried which has evolved into Fragomen. Today the firm is recognized as a global powerhouse in immigration law with offices across six continents. His pivotal role in the firm’s expansion to international markets in 1983 marked a defining moment in his career, underscoring his foresight and adaptability in a dynamic legal field.
Championing Pro-Bono Services and Policy Advocacy
Beyond his legal acumen, Mr. Fragomen is passionate about giving back to society. He actively participates in pro-bono initiatives, verifying underserved communities can access legal representation. He influences immigration policy through strategic advisory roles, having founded The American Council on International Personnel whose members were Fortune 500 companies that advanced policies to facilitate the movement of global talent. Mr. Fragomen holds a long-standing tenure as vice chairman and is currently treasurer at the Center for Migration Studies.
