Mehwish Nasir, MBA, executive board member of OPEN Global, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for her years of leadership and influential career in business technology and consulting. Ms. Nasir built her career on a decade of comprehensive consulting services for clients across multiple sectors. In her current role at OPEN Global, she is critical in governance and economic expansion initiatives for the organization’s international chapters. A Lifetime of Growth
Ms. Nasir’s career of excellence began as a software development lead for LMKR in Pakistan. She worked her way up to the role of program coordinator, where her strong technical skills became the foundation for insightful leadership. As she developed and her career progressed, she had the chance to contribute to critical international efforts such as the United Nations Development Programme and the Ignite National Technology Fund.
After relocating to Canada, Ms. Nasir expanded her roles to become a project and program manager and an agile coach, providing consulting services to clients throughout the United States and Canada.
Finally, Ms. Nasir moved to the United States, where she took on roles at the University of California and Accenture before taking on her current leadership role at OPEN Global.
Throughout her diverse career, Ms. Nasir found opportunities to grow her adaptability and become a better problem-solver. She attributes much of her success to her perseverance and consistency, especially when she looks back on her limited exposure to technology during her early life in Pakistan.
Ms. Nasir also credits her Fulbright Scholarship for the opportunities it gave her to engage in international learning.
Service Toward Building Better Communities
Ms. Nasir spent her career making significant contributions to both the private and nonprofit sectors. Her social work is focused on causes she is passionate about, including education, humanitarian relief and poverty alleviation. Her service played a key role in establishing the Vancouver chapter of The Citizens Foundation while she resided in Canada. Ms. Nasir has played an extensive role in the American Pakistan Foundation, once as an ambassador and today as a leader of the leadership council. She also supports organizations such as the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust and the Edhi Foundation.
Ms. Nasir is a lifetime member of the Fulbright Association and continues to remain active in various pro bono activities that serve her communities. An author of insightful research, Ms. Nasir’s work has been published in the field of software estimation techniques.
