Fitch Ratings has labeled Georgia at ‘BB-‘Outlook Positive.
Fitch emphasizes Georgia`s cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and positively assesses the successful implementation of the program.
The rating company positively evaluates the existing business environment in the country, which is higher than the countries of “BB” category. It is noteworthy that Georgia has made significant improvements towards public finances.
Also, as representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia say, it is important that the inflation rate and Fitch’s forecast coincide with the country`s Inflation target rate.
In the report, the upcoming presidential elections are also mentioned, however, the rating agency notes that the elections will not significantly influence the economy of the country.
