Georgia Received $3.2 Billion in Revenues from Tourism In 2018
Last year, the country generated 3.2 billion USD in revenues from tourist. Revenues increased by 500 million USD compared to the previous year.
According to the National Bank of Georgia, the highest revenues were recorded in August, amounting to 442.9 million USD. Compared to 2017, the largest annual increase was recorded in April; growth reached 33.4%.
Revenues generated by tourism have been on the rise for years, along with the number of international visitors. Last year revenues came to 2.7 billion USD, in 2016 the revenues amounted to 2.1 billion USD, and in 2015 the total was 1.93 billion USD.
