Georgian Wine export increased

In January-July, 2019, 47.2 million bottles (0.75 liters) of wine were exported to 47 countries from Georgia by 243 wine companies. This is a 4% growth compared to the same period of last year. The value of exported wine exceeds USD 114.2 million, which is 6% increase compared to 2018.

According to the LEPL National Wine Agency of Georgia, in January-July 2019, export growth was notable in the following countries:

  • US – 60% (388038 bottles)

  • United Kingdom – 39% (69622 bottles) 

  • China - 21% (4249687 bottles)

  • Poland - 19% (2250994 bottles).

  • France - France - 143% (63948 bottles),

  • Lietuva - 41% (372918 bottles)

  • Mongolia - 35% (172392 bottles)

  • Belarus - 19% (1008888 bottles)

  • Israel - 51% (165671 bottles)

  • Germany - 12%

  • Estonia - 9% (357866 bottles)

  • Russia - 2% (29132711 bottles)

  • Moldova - 4386% (31758 bottles)

  • Netherlands - 42% (43260 bottles)

  • Czech Republic 42% - (43260 bottles)

  • Sweden - 1734% (39954 bottles)

  • Bulgaria - 25% (19986 bottles)

  • Ukraine - 4893304 Bottles

  • China - 4249687 Bottles

  • Poland - 2250994 Bottles

  • Kazakhstan - 1902618 Bottles

  • Belarus - 1008888 Bottles

In addition, 14.5 million bottles (0.5 l) of Brandy were exported to 18 countries worldwide, which is 46% growth compared to the same period of 2018. Revenues from Brandy export reached USD 31.5 million (57% growth).

306.2 thousand bottles (0.5 l) of Chacha were exported to 24 countries. The export growth is 40%. Chacha's export revenue reached USD 810.2 thousand (27% growth).
