Kilaru’s career reflects his perseverance and problem-solving skills. He began his professional journey in Hyderabad, India, as a software engineer, where he spent five years honing his technical abilities and building a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
A major turning point for Kilaru came when he moved to the United States to pursue a master’s degree in computer information systems and take advantage of the diverse learning opportunities. Later he joined American Express as a Salesforce release manager. There, he implemented continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automating and speeding up the development and deployment of Salesforce applications. “The goal was to streamline our processes and ensure our applications were always up-to-date and running smoothly,” Kilaru recalls.
Currently, Kilaru works at City National Bank where he oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of Salesforce releases, ensuring seamless integration of updates and new features. He also manages version control, maintains deployment schedules, and facilitates communication between development, operations, and business teams to ensure smooth rollout.
