Metropol, a leading development company, has been honored at the prestigious International Property Awards 2024. The company earned recognition for its ongoing project in Batumi, Metropol Cube, which won in the “Mixed-Use Development for Georgia” category. This complex nomination considers various aspects of urban development, celebrating projects that are innovative, stylish, and functionally diverse. The award ceremony took place in London, where the Metropol team proudly accepted this international accolade.
Mamuka Imedashvili, Deputy CEO of Metropol, commented: “We are proud that one of our standout projects, Metropol Cube, has earned a global award. With its concept, architectural style, and multifunctionality, the Cube will significantly contribute to the development of Batumi. This recognition not only aligns with our goals but also confirms our success on an international level. This is the second global award for Cube this year and the third for Metropol. Earlier this year, Cube was also recognized at the Titan Awards as the best mixed-use development project, while Metropol Oval was named the best premium hotel in Georgia at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2024.”
Both Metropol Cube and Metropol Oval are being developed in collaboration with Louvre Hotels Group, one of the world’s largest hospitality brands. Through this partnership, Metropol will exclusively bring the 5-star Royal Tulip Hotel to the region, enhancing the local tourism infrastructure.
The International Property Awards have rigorous evaluation standards, with more than 80 independent experts assessing the nominees. “We are delighted that Metropol has earned their trust and recognition. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team”
The awards ceremony was held at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London, featuring various winning projects from across the globe. Metropol distinguished itself as a leader in the development sector, with its project Cube taking the award. The event also offered a dedicated space where winning companies, including Metropol, showcased their projects, engaging developers, strategic partners, and potential investors.
Nata Samnidze, Director of Sales and Marketing for Metropol’s investment projects, stated: “Metropol Cube is a business-class concept and a significant investment for the Adjara region, with a budget exceeding GEL 160 million. The project includes a conference hall, library, swimming pool, terrace, and restaurant, offering a comprehensive environment for both business and leisure. Expected to be completed by 2027, Metropol Cube will seamlessly integrate into Batumi’s urban landscape. We believe that the received international awards and global recognition will be an additional incentive and motivation for our team to maintain quality and implement a number of world-class projects.”
Metropol Cube, located in the heart of Batumi on the Alley of Heroes, is just 200 meters from the sea. This 42-story multifunctional building will feature 332 apartments and 80 hotel rooms, and its name is inspired by its geometric design, as is the case with Metropol Oval. The total investment for both projects is GEL 260 million. Additionally, Metropol’s exclusive partnership with Louvre Hotels Group will play an important role in boosting the economic growth of the Adjara region.
In addition to Metropol Cube and Metropol Oval, Metropol is also developing another unique residential project in Batumi, Metropol Parallel, known for its strategic location, impressive views, and modern construction standards.
