James C. Kreid, owner of Solid Rock Retirement Strategies, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who—a renowned biographical publisher that chronicles notable individuals across diverse fields since 1898. Founded by Albert Nelson Marquis, the publication selects professionals based on their significant achievements and societal contributions.
Since founding Solid Rock Retirement Strategies in 2017, Mr. Kreid has transformed the business, introducing a new name, location and a renewed focus on biblically responsible investing. His firm helps clients align their investments with values by screening portfolios and promoting informed decision-making.
“Our work allows people to understand what they’re invested in so they can make changes to align their portfolios with their values,” says Mr. Kreid. “Many are unaware of the agendas supported by larger money managers. We guide them toward investments that resonate with their principles.”
Mr. Kreid has also taken an active role in advocating for change among corporations. “We communicate with companies that do not align with our clients’ values. There are cases where these efforts have led to real policy shifts, which is exciting to see,” he shares.
An Experienced Financial Professional
Mr. Kreid began his financial career at Northwestern Mutual, where he worked from 1986 to 1996, specializing in insurance. He later joined Robert W. Baird & Co., earning his broker’s license and refining his expertise. From 2002 to 2017, he served as vice president of CMFS Group before advancing to president.
As a member of Kingdom Advisors, Mr. Kreid integrates faith-driven principles into his financial planning practice. In addition to his professional commitments, he serves as an elder at WhiteRose Fellowship Church and sits on the board of directors for the local chapter of Youth for Christ.
Author and Advocate for Financial Literacy
In 2019, Mr. Kreid authored an Amazon best-selling book “The Shifting Sands of Retirement and How to Weather Them,” offering guidance on navigating the complexities of financial planning. His insights stem from personal experiences with financial adversity early in his career. “Adversity shaped my understanding of finance and investing,” Mr. Kreid reflected. “With Faith Based Investing, you do not have to rely solely on popular companies or indices like the S&P 500. Strong returns are possible while investing in ways that reflect your values.”

Dedicated to leaving a lasting impact, Mr. Kreid views his business as a ministry and a legacy for his family.
