European Business Angels gathered in the metaverse for an immersive event dedicated to sharing valuable insights into the world of Web3 and how it is transforming the way we live, work, and invest. This historic occasion was made possible through collaboration between European Business Angel Network, Axel Georgian Business Angel Network, Spatial and immersive experience software Arrival.
Taking place in a dedicated Arrival venue in Spatial Metaverse, the pioneering event brought together a record-breaking 200+ participants from more than 20 countries to tune in for keynote speeches by web3 experts. Dusan Stojanovic – Founding Partner and Director at True Global Ventures 4 Plus, David Rose – Founder & CEO at USREM and Founding General Partner at True Global Ventures 4 Plus, and Petri Rajahalme – Partner at FOV Ventures addressed the attendees in the digital amphitheater, alongside Jacoppo Losso – General Director at EBAN, Jess Ford, CEO & Chairman of Arrival Meta, and Iro Tsagareishvili, Managing Director at AXEL. Keynotes were followed by a panel discussion about early-stage investing in the Metaverse, and a series of case studies by Vandana Taxali, Dr. Luise Frohberg, Union Avatars, and Atopia Space as case studies.
For many investors Metaverse is still uncharted territory, that’s why it was crucial to immerse them directly into the space, rather than discuss the topic in real-life or a more traditional group call. Most angels had their first interaction with the Metaverse space, making this event a vital bridge between the two worlds. Due to the unexpectedly massive turnout and the experimental nature of the technology, for a short moment, participants experienced connectivity issues which were resolved in a timely manner.
