In an interview with The CheckPoints, Martin Lindstrom, a world-renowned expert on culture and brand, noted that Georgia has the potential to create a strong national brand, which is due to the country’s historical and cultural diversity.
“I think there’s enormous potential – Georgia can build a very strong country brand just in the line as you have France, Switzerland, Germany and UK, but I think we need to unleash creativity, and hopefully that will happen now”, – said Lindstrom.
According to him, Georgia should actively think about creating and developing its own national brand because the country has all the resources and potential to do so.
“Georgia is an unpolished diamond. You have creative people, an amazing history, and a diversity of religions. I’ve never been to a place where you have so many religions, churches, mosques and synagogues just next to each other – creating creativity. You invented the puppet theatre, you have the most unique font in the world and 3,000 grapes, you had the Silk Road going through – all these things have created a very rich culture, but it’s completely unknown outside Georgia; we have the whole central part of Europe which has no idea where Georgia is”, – said Martin Lindstrom.
