Within 4 months, seaports handled 5,7 tons of cargo

Within the period of January-April 2017, volume of cargo, handled by transport branches of Georgia, made 11,9 mln tons, which is equal to the amount, handled within the similar period of last year.
During four months of this year, volume of cargo, handled by sea ports and terminals, hasn’t changed compared to 5,7 mln tons of last year.

Number of containers, handled by seaports, increased and made 114,981 TEU units instead of 98,005 TEU units of the similar period last year.

Within these four months, volume of cargo, transported by railway of Georgia reduced and made 3,6 mln tons. During January-April, 2016, this number was equal to 3,8 mln tons.

Volume of cargo, transported by civil aviation, increased and reached 12,3 mln tons.

As to the cargo, handled by seaports and sea terminals:

Poti Sea Port handled 2,1 mln tons of cargo, which is 0,1 mln tons more than in the similar period of previous year.

Volume of cargo, handled by Batumi Sea Port has dropped from 1,7 mln tons to 1,6 mln tons.

Volume of cargo, handled by Supsa Sea Port, decreased by 0,1 mln tons and made 1,3 mln tons.

Volume of cargo, handled by Kulevi Sea Terminal, increased by 0,7 mln tons.
