The number of ministries will be reduced from 14 to 11, – stated the acting Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze at today’s briefing. According to him, the change will apply to 6 ministries, however, Bakhtadze didn’t name these ministries.
Bakhtadze says that new faces will appear in the new government.
Besides, the acting Prime Minister encourages the Parliament to complete the vote of confidence procedure for the new government within limited timeframe.
According to the statement of the acting Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, by the end of 2018, the size of government will be reduced to 4,2% GDP.
“The concept of smaller government does not imply only the reduction of number of ministries. This is a concept of its proportion in relation to the economy of the country, to GDP”, – explained Mamuka Bakhtadze.
