First cargo train going from China to Europe through BTK entered Turkey

The first cargo train going from China to Europe through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BKT) has entered the territory of Turkey, APA’s Georgian Bureau reports citing the Turkish press.

An 850 meters long cargo train named “China Railway Express” which carries 42 containers with 74 square meters has entered the territory of Turkey (to Kars). The official welcoming ceremony of the train will be held at the Ankara Railway Station on November 6.

The cargo train will reach Prague the capital of Czechia going through Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, and Slovakia via using the Marmara canal.

Note that, the train is also the first cargo train to carry goods to Europe going through the Marmara Canal.
