American chamber of commerce in Georgia (AMCHAM) has published an open letter from Michael Cowgill, the president of Amcham Georgia, regarding the Tourism Embargo which Russia has erected against Georgia.
“For many years, Georgia has been an incredibly safe country for foreigners and guests, whether one stays in Tbilisi, travels to the coast or hikes and tours in the country’s many beautiful destinations.
This continues to be true today. Moreover, along with high levels of safety and hospitality, in recent years the country has seen dramatic improvements in its national tourism infrastructure with more and better hotels, transportation routes and destinations across the country.
So, come and visit Georgia, the birthplace of wine and one of the most hospitable places in the world. There has never been a better time to come!”
