13 Georgian law companies and 17 lawyers got Legal 500’s appraisal

For 29 years now, The Legal 500 has been evaluating the best law companies and lawyers of the world. In 2017, 13 Georgian law companies and 17 lawyers got Legal 500’s appraisal. In the description of Georgia, it is said that the country has abundant hydro and energy recourses; and after 2016 parliamentary elections, political stability and market attractiveness for investments has increased in the country. In addition, it is stated that high quality local firms have to compete with international companies, like Earnst & Young LLC and Dechert Georgia.

BGI Legal is ‘exceptional’ in M&A, financing and real estate, and is especially prominent in the energy sector. Lasha Gogiberidze, whom clients regard as ‘the top lawyer in Georgia for banking, finance and capital markets transactions’, and Sandro Bibilashvili handled a number of innovative regional energy projects and joint ventures, such as the Adjaristsqali hydropower project.
