Georgian wine export increased by 6%

Georgia exported 40,5 million bottles (0.75 l) of wine to 44 countries in the first half of 2019, which is a 6% growth compared to the same period of previous year.

Total sales from wine exports amounted to US$98, which is a 9% growth compared to the same period of previous year.

Export growth was notable in the following countries:

USA – 88% – 354874 bottles

China – 19% – 3554127 bottles  

Poland – 16% – 1821802 bottles

France – 120% 55908 bottles

Lietuva – 68% – 315306 bottles

Mongolia – 68% – 146892 bottles

Belarus – 32% – 889002 bottles

 Israel – 20% – 131184 bottles

Canada – 12% – 83220 bottles

Germany – 11% – 317771 bottles

Estonia – 11% – 326966 bottles

Georgia exported 12,6 million bottles (0,5l) of brandy to 18 countries, in the first half of 2019 which is 50% more than in the same period of 2018.

Total sales of brandy amounted to US $27.4 million, which is a 62% growth compared to the same period of previous year.

238 thousand bottles (0,5 liters) of Chacha exported to 23 countries, with an export increase of 34%. Revenue from Chacha export reached US $633.2 thousand (20% growth).
