There are 252 Audit companies registered in Georgia. After introduction of a new regulations in the sector, companies are authorized to perform audit activities only after appropriate registration. The registration process obliges companies to publish information about shareholders, quality control results and revenues. As of today, only 13 audit companies have authorization that allows them to audit the financial statements of Public Interest companies. These audit companies have more than 70% of the total revenues of the sector.
