Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stressed the importance of implementing land reform by using cutting edge technologies, in this regard he reiterated that Georgia was the first country in the world to incorporate Blockchain technology in public sector and the delivery of public services. He underlined that it was the land registration reform where the Blockhain Technology Pilot Project was implemented, which served as a testament to Government’s will to implement reforms through application of modern technologies. Storing data in Blockchain means that any information stored on the network is protected from illegal manipulation, it is impossible to delete, alter, rewrite or change in any form, which guarantees the highest possible level of data protection.
Prime Minister encouraged all the ministries to implement the reforms planned in 2019 by using modern technologies as application of new technologies would realize the digital transformation of Georgia. He also thanked the government employees involved in the land reform, who worked tirelessly for the successful implementation of the land reform, the representatives of the NAPR, Notaries, National Archives, Bureau of enforcement and Ministry of Justice, whose efforts were pivotal in successful implementation of the reform.
