Georgia hosted 1,099,474 tourists in July 2019, showing an increase of 5.8% year-on-year (y/y).
According to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA), the number of tourist arrivals totaled 570,482, which is 1% growth, compared to July 2018.
The countries with the most significant increase were:
Azerbaijan (+ 13.1%)
Russia (-6.4%)
Turkey (+ 9.6%)
Armenia (+ 3.2%)
A positive trend was maintained by visitors from the European Union:
Germany – (+ 33.7%)
France – (+ 29.6%)
Lithuania – (+ 20%)
Latvia – (+ 17.4%)
Poland – (+ 15.7%)
Particular growth was recorded from following countries:
Kuwait – (+ 58.1%)
China – (+ 55.6%)
Uzbekistan – (+ 50.9%)
Saudi Arabia – (+ 42.1%)
Korea – (+ 38.9%)
Kazakhstan – (+ 28.5%)
