Over the period of September-January 2017, 52,7 mln bottles (0,75 l) of wine were exported from Georgia to 45 countries of the world, which by 63% exceeds the figure of the same period of last year. Within the accounting period, wine worth of 116 mln USD was exported, which is 55% more than the rate of similar period of last year.
According to the information provided by the National Wine Agency, export growth is notable for following countries: China – 44% (5537261), Russia – 95% (33243157), Ukraine – 54%(5322683), Poland – 14% (1869852), Latvia – 36% (1141778), Belarus – 34% (1054994), USA – 81% (346398), Germany – 28% (286156), Israel – 305% (170834), Mongolia – 182% (112710), France – 321% (96790), Azerbaijan – 102% (102 342), etc.
The top five export countries are: Russia (33243157), China (5537261), Ukraine (5322683), Kazakhstan (2044143) and Poland (1869852).
Besides, 11 354 403 bottles (0,5 l) of brandy was exported to 22 countries, which is 89% more than the number exported within the same period of 2016. Total exported brandy is worth of 25 mln USD – increase compared to similar period of last year reaches 84%.
Within the accounting period, 147 thousand bottles (0,5 l) of chacha was exported to 18 countries. Increase of export made 131%. Incomes generated from chacha export made 439,3 thousand USD. Compared to last year, increase reached 83%.
Total incomes generated from the export of wine, brandy, chacha, wine material and brandy spirit within the accounting period makes 194 mln USD – increase, compared to the same period of 2016, made 54%.
