Board Changes at TBC Bank Group

TBC Bank Group PLC (“TBC PLC”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Abhijit Akerkar as an Independent NonExecutive Director with immediate effect. In line with TBC’s “Mirror Board” policy, Mr. Akerkar is also appointed as the member of the Supervisory Board of JSC TBC Bank.

Mr Akerkar is an influential thought leader in Artificial Intelligence in banking and has 25 years of cross-disciplinary global experience operating at a strategic level at the forefront of technology with Lloyds Banking Group, McKinsey and Company, and HCL Technologies.

At Lloyds Banking Group, he drove the safe scaling and integration of machine intelligence across Retail, Commercial, and Insurance businesses. He has been serving as an Expert Advisor to All Party Parliamentary Committee on Artificial Intelligence over the last three years. His thoughts on generating value from Artificial Intelligence have been published by leading institutes. Earlier at McKinsey & Co, he partnered with companies around the world at the board and executive levels to set strategy, unlock the power of data, and transform organisations. Previously, he built and grew tech-enabled businesses in Europe and Asia for HCL Technologies.
