The total amount of foreign direct investments implemented in Georgia in 2017 made 1851.9 mln USD, which according to the preliminary data of GeoStat is 16.2% more than correspondent rate of 2016. In 2016, the amount of foreign direct investments made in Georgia was 1565.9 mln USD.
Based on the data provided by TBC Research, in 2012-2016, the average share of Foreign Direct Investment in Georgia’s GDP was 8.8%. Within the same period, share of FDI in Georgia was higher than in Turkey, Estonia and Ukraine.
