The first rail flight from Turkey to Georgia was carried out. The train will run from the logistics center near Erzurum through Turkey to Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line. Currently, the railway line works in a test mode.

General Director of Georgian Railway David Peradze and Director-General of TCDD Ali Ihsan Uygun participated in the ceremony.

Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway line is a regional railway directly connecting Kars in Turkey, Tbilisi in Georgia and Baku in Azerbaijan to transport both passengers and cargo freight. The total estimated cost of the project is US $600 million (US $422 million excluding infrastructure costs).
