Among trade partners, the highest inflation rate was registered in Turkey and the highest economic growth rate - in Armenia

Out of trade partners of Georgia, the highest inflation rate was registered in Turkey, while the highest economic growth rate is evidenced in Armenia. According to the National Bank of Georgia, in June, in Turkey, the inflation rate made 15.4%.

Effective annual inflation in June in trade partner countries:

Azerbaijan – 2.4%

Armenia – 0.9%

Turkey – 15.4%

Eurozone – 2.0%

Russia – 2.3%

USA – 2.9%

Ukraine – 9.9%

In June, compared to the previous month, the inflation rate in Georgia made 0,6% and the annual inflations rate – 2,2%.

As to the economic growth rate, in the first half of the year, the economy grew most in Armenia.

Effective actual GDP growth in trade partner countries in the first half of the year:

Armenia – 9.6%

Turkey – 7.4%

Eurozone – 2.5%

Russia – 1.3%

USA – 2.8%

Ukraine – 3.1%. 

By the preliminary assessment, compared to the relevant period of last year, in June 2018, the speed of actual Gross Domestic Product in Georgia made 0,4%. The average actual growth in QII 2018, was defined at 0,6% and the average actual growth in the first six months of the year – at 5,7%.
