9 New Casinos Planned To Be Opened In Georgia In The Coming Years

Banning of gambling business in the countries of the region makes Georgia an attractive destination. In Turkey, Azerbaijan and Ukraine gambling business is forbidden and in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Russia limitations are set by the law.

The G&T tourism research report reads that in the recent years, in Batumi and Tbilisi casino business has been developing rapidly. Presently in Batumi 10 casinos are operating. In the coming years 5 more will be opened.

In 2013-2016, number of visitors in Batumi casinos increased 2.3 times and reached 680 000. In 2016, in Adjara 76% of casino visitors were foreigners.

In 2018-2020, 9 more casinos are planned to be opened in Georgia.
