Giorgi Zviadadze will lead the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency

Minister of Economy and Sustainable development of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, introduced the new leader to the staff of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency. Giorgi Zviadadze was selected for the Agency leader position based on competition, launched by the Ministry of Economy and as from 21st of June he will set to work.

Giorgi Zviadadze graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He received the degree of Master of Law in the Caucasian University, also studied master courses in Lithuanian Mykolas Romeris University and Middlesex in Great Britain. In 2016-2017, Zviadadze worked as a manager of information technologies at Langua Paslauga Company in Vilnius; in 2012-2017, he held the position of the Chair of the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprise Association Supervisory Board.

In 2009, Giorgi Zviadadze founded Global Sales Company and led it until 2017; in 2004-2006, he was a contracted manager of innovations and new products at Geocel. He is a founder of many companies in Georgia and beyond its borders. Giorgi Zviadadze has 13-year experience of working at different positions.

“For last two years I worked in Lithuania on a research related to creation, modeling and management of innovation eco-system in post-soviet countries and I think that in Georgia, Techno Park is the best place to implement what I’ve been working on for two years. I believe that this wonderful organization, established by the Prime Minister of Georgia, deserves my full dedication to its development. I am ready to use all my skills, time, energy and experience and do for the country, what I understand best of all”, – said Zviadadze at the meeting with the Agency staff.

According Zviadadze, Georgians have very strong mental abilities, there are ideas and turning them into business projects is one of the main challenges. “Such projects should be useful not only for Techno Park, but for the whole country, where the investment environment with this regard will be very favorable. Georgian innovation is a brand form many other countries and we want to work very actively in this direction”, – he stated.
