The shareholders of Silknet have invited Ted Jonas, an American-qualified lawyer with over 25 years’ practice experience, to the company’s supervisory board.
Ted is highly rated by the international legal rating agencies as one of the best business and finance lawyers dealing with Georgia.
Jonas’s central function on the supervisory board will be to help bring the company’s corporate governance up to the next level in its development, and to assist the company on international legal compliance issues.
“Silknet’s business is growing, and so too are our financial requirements,” said George Ramishvili, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Jonas was the managing partner of DLA Piper in Georgia for almost 10 years, and is now Senior Counsel with Dentons, another global law firm, which took over DLA Piper’s Georgia practice in May 2017.
Ted has been a trusted legal advisor to Silk Road Group and its affiliates as their outside counsel for more than 11 years, so he enters Silknet as an independent member of its supervisory board with a great deal of knowledge about the company and its operations.
