According to the LEPL National Wine Agency of Georgia, in Q1 and Q2 2018, 38,2 mln bottles (0,75 l) of wine were exported from Georgia to 48 countries of the world, which by 21% exceeds the rate of the same period of last year. Within the accounting period, wine worth of 90,3 mln USD was exported, which is 28% growth compared to the same period of last year.
In January-June 2018, export growth was notable with the following countries:
- Japan – 200% (130 638 bottles)
- Czech Republic – 134% (30456)
- Kirgizstan – 81% (140370),
- South Korea – 78% (31650)
- Netherlands – 68% (38799)
- United Kingdom – 67% (46782).
Top 5 export countries are:
- Russia – 24 022 113 bottles
- Ukraine – 4 191 217 bottles
- China – 2 975 804 bottles
- Kazakhstan – 1 652 292 bottles
- Poland – 1 573 328 bottles
