As from 1st of September, the Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states has come into effect. At the first stage, the Agreement will become effective between Georgia, Norway and Iceland, and between Georgia, Switzerland and Lichtenstein it will become effective three months after ratification of the Agreement.
The Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and EFTA was signed in Bern, (Swiss Confederacy) on 27th of June, 2017 within the framework of the European Free Trade Association Ministerial.
Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states will allow enterprises operating in Georgia enter the additional 14-million market with high level of purchasing power with significant part of its produce, avoiding tariff barriers.
